Well I got all my children off to school today.

Olivia (7th grade) and Joshua (4th grade) left on the buss at 7am. They are attending a brand new school this year. It is about 7 miles from our house. They have uniforms and they both have schedules(new for both of them).

Kiri is in 9th grade at Taylor Jr. High and is excited about her classes. She is taking Geometry, Biology, Dance and Seminary to name a few.

Briana is a 1st grader at Robson(her 1st year to go all day).She was excited about school.
I am going to work in the cafeteria (I hope, you never know about Robson) so at least I will see one of the kids at lunch time.
The house is really quiet without anyone but Harley(our dog) and me home. I am anxious for everyone to get home so I can hear about their days.

The girls had fun at camp and had lots of good experiences there. They got a lot of rain but had fun.
Glen has been busy the past two saturdays he installed a new sink and toliet in our bathroom.
Then got us a new locking mailbox, plus built us a new silverware drawer.

My parents came down last week and visited. We went to Petes Fish and chips for lunch and then took them out to see Joshua and Olivias new school.

Its hotter the last couple of days then its been in along time. Ugh.. I keep telling myself fall is coming.

RAIN......

We got about an inch of rain on Monday. We havent had much rain at all this summer. Joshua and Briana loved it. They played outside for about an hour in it and they came in and played in the bathtub for another hour. Here they both are laying on the backyard cement and just loving the rain. I think the whole state has gotten more rain then we have here at the house. We watch the news and its raining everywhere but our area. I am so glad that we got this rain and keep praying for more.

Kiri an Olivia go to Camp Lomia

On Monday the 30th Kiri and Olivia left for Camp Lomia. This is Kiris 3rd year and Olivias first year. They travel in style by going up on charter buses. They come back friday at noon.
It is quiet at our house with having a 1/3 of us gone, and Glen working long hours. Briana asked me last night if the sisters were coming home today. She really misses them. I think Joshua kinda likes being the oldest for once. He is doing a good job helping clean the house and helping me with dinner. We hope the girls are having fun and we miss them alot.

Tye/Dye shirts

We had fun Saturday and tye/dyed some shirts.
We started this last year and the kids have fun creating T-shirts. Kiri has decided she is too old to do this. I made one for Glen and I. They turned out pretty good.

The USS Midway

We got to go on the USS Midway, it was real neat. They had headsets that you could find out more about each exhibit. We had alot of fun. The kids didnt think that the tight quarters would be much fun. We also got to see the USS Reagan and the USS Lincoln out in the harbor.

We had a fun vacation but were glad to be home to our own beds and to the puppy.
We are glad that we have such nice neighbors to watch our house and our puppy for us.

Thanks to my sister for giving us a place to crash for 2 nights.
Our next big adventure is getting the girls off to camp and then school starting...

We went to the Mormon Batallion Monument and it was fun especially since their was a big article on it in the Ensign.
My sister and Joshua and Briana dressed up in Pioneer clothes.

Sea World

We went to San Diego and to Sea world.
My brother goes over alot and so he left his popcorn bowls and soda cups at my sisters so we got popcorn, cottoncandy and sodas for cheap.
My sister and neice Shelby came with us and the girls went on the rollercoaster ride with them.
And had alot of fun. I love SeaWorld cause it is so much more relaxing than Disneyland.

OUR MOTEL

We had a real nice motel. We had dinner free on Wednesday and Thursday night. Tereyaki Chicken and Hamburgers. Then we had breakfast free every morning. They had cereal, waffles, eggs, sausage, milk,juice and yogurt.

We had a microwave, refrigerator and stove in are room. Two queen size beds and a sofa sleeper Two tvs that the kids enjoyed

We took the shuttle to and from the park everyday.

DISNEYLAND

We just got home from a fun family trip.
We got to visit Mickey Mouse and all of his friends. We had alot of fun and spent 2 days at Disneyland and 1 day at California Adventure.

MY Parents ....Mick and Earlene Kleinman celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary on friday the 13th. They were married on a friday the 13th so when people tell me that friday the 13th is an unlucky day I always say its a good day cause my parents were married on one.

Cannery---Glen living at work--- Welcome back Gary

Kiri and Olivia got to join me yesterday when I went to the cannery. They boxed up all my orders and helped make can kits. They both had alot of fun and I appreciated their help. I am the ward Canning Specialist and its a fun calling.

Glen has been practically living at work lately. They have so many jobs coming in and its him and his boss doing all the work. They usually have a two week turn around time but its almost a month now. Glen dosent see it slowing down anytime soon. Great job security.. I told him he could do a little when we are on vacation next week but his boss said absolutely not. You need a break and I am not going to have you work. Glen has two great bosses. I am glad that they are so good to him.

Glens oldest brother Gary is back home in Chicago tonight after spending the past 18 months working in the middle eastern company of Quatar.

Poor Briana

Briana had to have a root canal and crown put on her left bottom tooth this morning. She was at the dentist for 2 1/2 hours. She couldnt have anything to eat or drink all morning. She came thru it pretty good though. Hopefully she will remember to curve her sweet tooth. The kids dentist is really good. Kiri still wishes she could go to DR Taylor.He is the one Glen and I go to and is awesome. The rest of us passed our Dental visits. which was great.

We Have been in our house 5 years wow its hard to believe. Our wonderful realtor took this picture the day we moved in. They all have grown so much. Kiri was almost 10 when we moved in. Olivia was 71/2. Joshua was 4 and Bree was 18 months. We love our house and the neighborhood we live. We have awesome neighbors. Especially our neighbors to the West of us they are the greatest. Weve done alot to the house since we moved in but still have alot more to do before we will ever be happy. I think alot of people feel that way about their homes. We got Harley three years ago and the big fish tank two years ago.
Glen and I were going thru digital pictures a couple of weeks ago and had fun looking at all the pictures we have taken. It seems like the kids are always changing. Olivia got contacts two weeks ago and loves not having to wear her glasses all the time. Thats why she has her sunglasses on in this picture.

Glen and mine anniversary

We Celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary on friday.
We Went to the temple with some friends and it was awesome. I love going to the temple.
On Saturday Glens boss and his wife gave us a gift certificate to Ruth Chris Steakhouse in Scottsdale. It was a posh place. Not somewhere we are use to eating. We both enjoyed our meal and then went across the street to the train park and walked off our dinner. We had a fun weekend. They gave us free deseret so we brang it home to the kids their was no way we could eat anymore than what we did.
I am so glad that Glen and I met and fell in love. He is an awesome man and my best friend. I couldnt ask for a better husband and father for our kids.

Swim lessons at Taylor Pool

The kids had fun taking swim lessons at Taylor Pool. They all had great instructors at learned alot. Kiri decided to do a dance class instead of swim lessons. Im glad they all can swim pretty good. With it being so hot its nice to be able to go to the pool.

Life is busy

I thought once school was out it would slow down but it hasnt.
The first thing was before school got out I developed a Sinus Infection that lasted three weeks and then no sooner was I recovering from that then I got shingles, what fun. Those things are very painful . Most of them are gone now thank goodness.
We had to take Kiri and Olivia down and get a shot that they needed for school and the nurse asked us if we wanted them to get the 2nd chickenpox shot and I said yes so all 4 kids got it. I hope none of them ever get shingles.
We got to go and take a virtual tour of the new school Olivia and Joshua will attend in the fall. I think the thing that they liked the most was the fact that they will have a health and wellness class instead of the traditional PE class. They will also have uniforms, laptop computers and a brand new school. We are excited..

Little Late but still Happy Fathers Day

Joshua made this cool tie for Glen at Scouts for Fathers Day. Our ward primary kids gave the Dads hugs and kisses plus they sang in sacrament meeting. Joshua quickly changed out of his sunday clothes so he put this tie on that he made in primary.
Iam greatful for my Dad and the good example he is to me and my family. He always has and still works hard. I hope one day soon he can slow down and enjoy life a little.
Glen is an awesome Dad to our family. Our kids are lucky to have him as a dad.

Bass Pro shops

We had to go and see the new BassPro shops at Riverview. It was a cool store and we got to sit on ATvs and walk on some boats It was real cool.

Weekend

I was going to put some pictures but they wouldnt download for me. kiri had fun at youth conference. They went camping. They also went canoing, she was one of the few that didnt capsize.
They played alot of games and had alot of fun. It was real quiet without her home.Olivia, Joshua and Briana went to Home Depot and made toolboxes, they had fun doing that. Glen and I sat down and went thru all of our digital pictures. We had about 3000 pictures. It was fun seeing how the kids had grown . Glen locked his keys in the car on friday so the kids and I took a roadtrip and got them out for him. For those of you that dont know Glen works about an hour from home in North Phoenix. We were able to see his office and meet most of the employees of the other company that his boss owns. At least now I have a face for people he mentions. Had a nice weekend..

After swimming lessons and Kiri left I took the kids to Golfland. I had free coupons that expired today. We like Golfland alot better than Fiddlesticks. Briana lost her ball on one of the holes that had water. So I shared my ball with her. It wasnt too hot as they had alot of shady spots. We went to Petes Fish and Chips for lunch, Joshua loves fish. I love their Onion rings. We also went and got the kids signed up for summer reading at the library. We had a fun day.

Kiri left this morning for Youth Conference. She has never been to one so I will be excited to see how she likes it. I think she took the kitchen sink with her. She had 1 suitcase stuffed with stuff.
They took boats so they will be going to a lake.
We will miss her while she is gone. She is a great daughter and does alot to help out around the house. Hopefully she will have some cool air as it is hot here.

Joshua's Cub Scouts

We are very proud of Joshua be cause he earned his Wolf badge in January but since he couldn't move on to Bears until he turned 9 he worked real hard and earned 7 arrow points which according to the leader shown was the most any scout earned at one time that she knew of.

Today with it being the first day of summer break we start reading the book of mormon. Our bishop started this program 4 years ago when he was a counselor in the bishopric. He encourages us all young and old to read the whole book of mormon during the summer. They give a schedule and those that complete are treated to a dinner and an award of some sort. We look forward to doing this every year.

Schools out for summer

Hi everyone...I love how Rhiannon has her blog, I love looking at it and seeing how fast her kids are growing. I also enjoy hearing from The Oregon Pattersons and from Elder Patterson as well.
We decided this was something that would fun to do so you could hear from us once in awhile.

Schools out for summer.. Olivia graduated from 6th grade this morning. She also made Principals list. We are so proud of her. I love how Robson has 6th grade graduation. All of the girls were all dressed up and the boys were in shorts it was quite comical. Olivia went out and enjoyed the rest of the day with a group of LDS girls.

Its hard to believe that our baby just completed kindergarten. Briana had an awesome teacher and she will be hard to replace. Joshua finished his 3rd grade and final year at Robson as he will start Mesa Academy for Advanced Studies in the fall along with Olivia.

Kiri just completed the 8th grade. She will oficially be in High School next year although she will stay at Taylor Jr High since they go their thru 9th grade. She Has been a tutor this year and involved with National Jr. Honor Society.
Glen took the day off for Graduation and to help me at the cannery. Glen brang some work home and got that done early this morning. Glen works very hard and long hours. He has been the sole employee of his Employer since Febuary of last year. Since they are backlogged by almost a month his boss persuaded a former employee to come back and work for him. So between Glen his boss, the new guy and another one of the owners they hope to get somewhat caught up soon, so they can breathe.
I had a busy day with Crossing in the morning,Olivias graduation right after that.Then working in the cafeteria, I left and went to the Cannery(my assistants were sick and couldnt go) and got our order packaged and then went back to afternoon crossing. I am so glad to be home and relax for awhile. I hope to get some projects done this summer with our childrens help.
